I travelled down from the west coast of Scotland, 11hrs on 4 trains and 3taxis so was absolutely exhausted when I arrived . Lucia on reception was so kind and helpful, she also arranged a late check out for me the following day as I was boarding a cruise at 1.30. This meant after a fabulous nights sleep and a long lie in I was able to leave feeling relaxed and well rested . During my stay Lucia message a couple of times to see if I was ok and if there was anything else I needed, which I appreciated. I cruise regularly from Southampton and over last 4years this hotel has always been the one I used because I know I will get outstanding service. Thank you

Penelope

Almost everything about the hotel is excellent. The staff are always first class and Beefy’s restaurant serves very good food. My crispy beef on this visit was superb. We were served by Lydia in the restaurant, who was outstanding and a credit to the hotel. She was well-informed, polite and seemed genuinely interested. Her knowledge of the menu and bar menu was excellent and she even made a point of checking with the kitchen on one minor aspect of the food that we queried.

My king size room was lovely on the 3rd floor. Very comfy huge bed, spacious room and lovely shower. Gorgeous fluffy white towels and lovely bed linen. Room overlooked the car park, lake and golf course. Asked for a quiet room which it was away from the lifts. Good choice at breakfast and friendly staff. I stayed overnight on my own and felt safe and would stay here again. Perfect if you are joining a cruise ship from Southampton or flying from the airport.

The room was lovely and spacious with a lovely view from the balcony. The king sized bed was comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was was very clean with a decent sized shower and with the lovely shower gel, soap. Hair products. I couldn’t have asked for a better en suite room. The breakfast was brilliant with plenty of choices. The dining room was very clean and the tables were spaced out evenly. The young waitress was very polite and friendly

Booked this hotel so we could watch the Cricket. Large car park adjacent to the hotel. We were charged £5 for 24 hours car parking. Comfortable room with a huge balcony overlooking the pitch. Comfortable bed with soft pillows and nice lightweight duvet. The Breakfast cost £14.95 and was superb. Brilliant value for money. A huge selection of hot and cold food with drinks and toast. Very nice service from Callum who was friendly and efficient.
